the pump is a new shureflow , a direct replacement for the original ...... - cdl2ExplorerCan you hear the pump cycle on & off. Do you have a rush of water & then slow down at you sink fitting? You know RV pumps don't have a lot of volume or pressure? I had problems with my Safari in the spring, seems it took forever to get it working right. I think I just had a lot of air in the system from winterizing.
- ljr869ExplorerWhat brand of pump? Sounds like it's bad. Or maybe sucking some air?
- mhsteveExploreri have a 2 way valve . normal flow & bypass . its in the normal flow position . if i close the valve (faucet type) the pump will dead head (stop pumping) as if it was pressured up . but that valve is close to water tank & is in supply line . have water but very little flow . checked faucet screens , no luck . just got me confused . any more ideas ? ....... thanks .. steve
- mhsteveExplorerthanks again for the help . to hot today but the mornings are my time to work ............... steve
- wa8yxmExplorer IIISlowly, no pressure, implies a problem since it is a new pump it implles the problem is ..... elsewhere
Possible issue
Many RV's have a "Quick Fill valve, on mine this is a 3-way valve turn it one way and city water is delivered to the house water lines, turn it 90 degrees and city water goes to a line that fills the supply tank, park it half way in between and HOUSE water goes to the supply tank, In short round and round it goes where it stops nobody knows.
That woudl be my suspect #1 - mhsteveExplorerdo not understand how to adjust the pump pressure . help appreciated .. steve
the wires are correct as far as i know .. red-red .. black to black - bucket1ExplorerAre you sure you didn't reverse the wires? And you can adjust the pressure limit switch.

i changed the fresh water filter under the sink . is there more ? thank you .. steve
Some have a strainer/filter on the suction side of the pump. This one sometimes gets clogged and restricts flow. JMO
