It is inside the pump......part of pump internals

For $10 you can get an in-line check valve and install on pump suction line from fresh water tank

If its like mine the pressure that is built up is leaking back through the pump. Mine has done this for the 15 years that I have owned it. I guess
I could change the rubber wobble plate and that would stop the problem but I consider a non issue. Personally we have gotten used to shutting the pump off every time we use it. And by shutting it off I don't have to worry about it blowing a line and flooding out somewhere.

I noticed a little water seepage around the base of my Thetford toilet this weekend. What is procedure to check and what am I looking for? Do you just remove the toilet via the 2 bolts holding it on? Then what? tks

You have a small leak.......some where. The hunt begins.....find it before water damage to floor/wall

Also check for the outside shower and the bathroom shower. If you have shower heads that can be turned off at the head while the knobs are still on, they will drip and cause this issue. I would start there as it's the easiest to check.

On mine it was the pump check valve mentioned above and once one of the outside shower valves was on and the head was off. The trickle activated the pump every so often - much more often than the check valve.

I would also look at the toilet valve under the foot pedal on a Thetford ,these leaks are hard to see. Also the connections in back of your water heater. When mine would cycle like that I found three leaks over the years, check valve,toilet valve twice and the water heater connections. These and difficult to see but if you wrap these areas with toilet paper then check them for wetness over night you will see the leak.

I agree if you find no other water. A small drip can also cause this.
