From what I have read the wheels are not coated - at least the ones they put on my coach. I think that Freightliner uses the same wheels on all of the chassis' that they build. I would try Never Dull. It comes in a blue tin and has a cotton batting infused with a polishing and cleaning compound. It is very, very slightly abrasive, mostly because of the cotton that is used. It can also be used on a number of other metals as well. I used this on my wheels and it did a nice job.
