I am saddened by the tragedy of that man’s death and the loss of a husband and father for his family. I am glad neither of you was injured, and hope the insurance companies make you whole financially.
Sadly this sort of accident happens from time to time. It is always dangerous to make assumptions about anything and potentially fatal to do so while driving. Yet people do it all the time. The only reason any of us are still alive is that it isn’t always fatal.
You are innocent victims of that man’s tragic error of judgement. The only thing you can possibly do in the wake of this accident is resolve to drive carefully. I know you will never make THAT mistake.
