We live "most time" in the 36 foot Phaeton in the signature. Stacked washer/dryer was to be removed, as we had traveled extensively for 11 years without and DW wanted the storage space. I think I would have to pull her out of the coach with the w/d today :). Dishwasher not so much. Takes us 15 minutes working side by side to clean up after a meal. Dishwasher would/might save 5 of those minutes, DW likes to use every pot and pan in the place when preparing a meal. If we do company we use disposables.
AS for timing that is something only you can decide. We used our Southwind - gasser for 8 years and 110,000 miles. I would have kept it and refurbed the interior if had been a DP no way I was going to push that old Vortec another 100k miles.
I will comment that technology is changing more rapidly than ever, if that is possible, and even my 2012 is looking last century with regard to electrical systems. I WANT forward radar w/reactive cruise, lane drift warning and ultimately self drive for the long Interstate stretches. I am happy to keep control in cities and on lesser highways.
