OutdoorPhotographer: I think you might be amazed at your choices in 12 years if you're considering a new unit.

If you think you'd purchase a used one, over the coming years look at the new ones thoroughly and make note of models you like. Then when you're ready to buy you can zero in on those models. It will make choosing a lot easier!
