What an adventure! We also keep an eye open for possible new location, although we are very happy with existing domicile. One thing we find is that we really enjoy the RV lifestyle which allows us to spend extended periods of time in areas that we like. Keep an open mind to locations that might not be in the headlines but turn out to be wonderful options. Our current home base is in a suburb with easy access by foot or bike to all shopping and restaurants. And we have easy access to major cities for concerts and plays etc. (Lots of sports venues too although unimportant to us.)
We plan to become snowbirds when we retire in a few years and essentially get the best of both worlds. We are in Florida now and today was beautiful (70's) but I couldn't live here during the summer. Enjoy!
