There are some nice campgrounds right off the Interstate - KOA in Ashland Kentucky, Beech Fork in Huntington, WV & Kanawha State Park in Charleston, WV.
There is a rest stop in Hurricane, WV on I64 between Huntington and Charleston that has a dump station if you overnighted at a Wally/Cracker Barrel.
With OP having a 40' Class A he might want to call Kanawha State Forest before he treks to the campground. Per their web site "Roads leading to the forest are a challenge to campers greater than 26 feet in length. It is recommended to contact the forest office prior to arrival if your unit exceeds a length of twenty-six feet or more to discuss road access." Kanawha State Forest Camping
