When it operates, it connects the two large battery terminals on that solenoid. Connect the two cables by bolting them together, eliminating the solenoid and see if that resolves your issue. If it does, just leave them connected that way, unless you have some need for that switch at the door. The switch is of really no value and is occasionally switched off by someone bumping into it and causing issues.
Don, as far as I can tell, that switch by the door only disconnects the 12 volt system from the house. Are you thinking that that disconnect controls something chassis related? When I flipped it earlier, everything 12 volt went dead inside the coach
