Hom.....It might be easier for you to tell us why you don't want a coach that is no longer in business. The engine, trans, front end, rear end and brakes are all still available. If you ever watched how a Country Coach was built, they bought front ends, rear ends and engines from the same companies everyone else did. They took those units and welded their own frame between the front end and rear end. Nothing magical to repair if there is a break down.
Monaco is technically out of business, but you can still buy parts for the older Monaco coaches. Those older Monacos are still the most popular on the road and some of the best built.
When the economy went south, the builders who built RV parts like steps, heaters and various other parts also went out of business. So even those companies still in production like Newmar, Tiffin and American coach can't buy certain parts anymore and had to find new suppliers.
So limiting yourself to coaches currently in production will severely limit you to just a few quality brands. Country Coach and Monaco should be on your list. I'm still amazed at the quality of paint Country Coach used. Even to this day, a lot of them look like new coaches going down the road.
