HOM, I think RFCN2 pretty much nails it with his impression of CC's. When we were looking to upgrade to a larger, tag axle coach last year, we targeted Newmar Mountain Aires and Essex and American Coach Traditions and Eagles. We also wanted a coach from someone 'still in business.' We were focused on 2005-2006 years, generally. We never considered CC until we saw the Allure we now have. What we liked initially about the CC over the others we had viewed was the warm and tasteful interior and the apparent solid look and feel of the coach. For us, the interiors of the Americans and the Essex, especially, seemed over decorated for our tastes.
Before making the final decision, I called the new Country Coach Corporation in Oregon and confirmed they could provide technical support and parts. In fact, we visited their facility this July and I saw all the fiberglass molds for every coach they ever made. The were making replacement fiberglass parts for coaches while we were there.
Bottom line, I also think you can find good coaches made by others and that certainly includes American and Newmar. However, after owning this CC since April 2013 and putting 16,000 miles on it, we think we made the right choice for us.
Drive coaches that trip your switch, poke around inside cabinets and under things that you don't easily see, and decide which has the quality you desire.
