I would be leery of posting what credit cards I carry on a public forum such as this. Unfortunately in today's world, unscrupulous people sometimes take criminal advantage of such personal information.
Everybody knows that VISA, MasterCard, and Discover are available and accepted most everywhere. If you own a motorhome and can't qualify for a VISA card you have some other issues.
Since the vast majority of RV'ers likely carry one or more credit cards, I doubt that posting which cards are in your wallet without any numbers, etc., is giving away any family secrets. That's assuming a criminal can even figure which family you belong to in the first place, or where to find you. - FlintlockCGExplorerI would be leery of posting what credit cards I carry on a public forum such as this. What's also been discussed is how FJ, Pilot and others have been known to have higher fuel prices, giving the illusion of a 'discount.'
I am aware this has been discussed on the forum.. last I checked and am looking for either a reduction in the price per gallon of fuel or cash back.
Not saying that's always true, but saying I've seen it as have others. - DuctapeExplorerChase has a card that rotates 5 percent on a different category quarterly. When it's on gas stations we use it there. When it's on groceries or pharmacies we buy gift cards for gas at the grocery/pharmacy. ;)
Shell has the FuelRewards program that's worth 5 cents minimum on every fillup. Plus you can tie credit cards to the reward card and get discounts on gas for buying groceries or dining out. It's not unusual for me to have 30 to 50 cents off per gallon. This program is inconvenient for the MH because it discounts only 20 gallons at a time.
Several other cards for particular purposes. One to use in restaurants where the card leaves our sight. One with no foreign exchange fee for when we're out of the US. - bobkatmsuExplorer

Congratulations, you are not alone as far as getting in a bad spot with credit. Can not blame you at all for staying away from them. We have been fortunate and have always paid off credit cards in full, every month. One benefit for us is not having to carry a lot of cash with us on the road. Fires, thieves are a negative with cash. It is also becoming a problem with law enforcement if your are carrying lots of cash, where it has been confiscated by police and never returned even when there was no evidence of any other wrong doing.
You might not believe this, but we don't have any Credit Cards, except Sears, which notified us last week by mail, if we did not use the card it was going to be canceled in about a month.
We use only our bank debit/credit cards and cash. Nothing more. We will never go back to a normal Credit Card. We got ourselves jammed up with Credit Cards some 30 years ago and had to sell our house to pay it all off (mostly because of medical expenses and deductibles). We said we'd never allow ourselves to get into that position again.
We had some money left over from the sale of the house, and we put that into a separate checking account. When we need high ticket items we use it, then pay ourselves back ... RELIGIOUSLY until the "debt" is paid back in full. We add to it regularly to help continue build the balance as inflation continues to cause things to become more and more costly.
I can't imagine how much interest this has saved us over the years!
No, never again... no "True" credit cards to get swallowed up in the bottomless interest abyss ever again! - Dutch_12078Explorer IIIOur Pentagon Federal Credit Union Visa Cash Rewards card gives us a 5 percent cash rebate on all at the pump fuel purchases with no limit. The rebates are automatically deducted from our balance. Our Good Sam Swipe & Save card knocks off 3 cents per gallon of gas at Pilot/Flying J stations, making it usually the lowest price around when combined with the PenFed 5 percent rebate.
