Replaced the 30-year-old, faded plastic trim with new black stuff. It really makes the old girl look much better.
Scrubbed the back of it, which hadn't been done since I got it (lots of stuff growing back there from its time in the tow yard before I bought it). It really cleaned up nice.
More importantly, started the radiator R&R. The old 454 runs REALLY hot. I have friends with the same or similar P30s without this issue so I'm hoping the radiator will do it. Everything else cooling-wise is new. Good news is that everything holding it in is un-bolted. All of the fittings for the trans cooler, oil cooler, etc. are free but I haven't drained the oils yet (just the coolant).
I'm thinking of relocating the trans cooler so it doesn't interfere with the radiator. Does that make sense? Also, it looks like there may have been a baffle at some point to keep air from going over top of the radiator. I will try to duplicate that.
