Thanks for the input. I'm trying to decide if we will start off with a portable like a tripod set up initially, since for a while we will be only using the RV on weekends and vacations. Later when we are using it more, I can add a rooftop system. Or should I just install the rooftop and be done with it. That's the decision I'm trying to make and understanding what is working for others might help me make that decision. Also what units to consider. I have been a marine service tech for 40 years and have installed satellite systems on hundreds of boats. But I'm finding RV's, while similar, also have some distinct differences. Chuck
