Well,
I don't know your scenario and, how and why your coach was "Hit" but, if you're not already doing it, I'd surely keep track of everything you do. That includes keeping receipts for meals, gas, any groceries and more. The reason I say this, and you might already know, is because of insurance purposes. Since your stay, in your present area, was not of your choice, and if your accident was due to the fault of the "Other guy", then it's more than likely what ever costs you incur while in your present situation, will be reimbursed.
As far as what to do while you're "vacationing" in your predicament, well, you'll have to look around and see what kind of entertainment you need to drum up while in the area. If you have a toad, then, take some small day trips to where ever. If there's a river, lake, park, attraction, fair, community get together, anything that could take up some of your time, head over to it. Heck, you don't have to spend money, you can just tour neighborhoods to see how folks live.
We've done that many times while traveling. It's interesting.
