What DP would you buy for $80/M cash

Alpine, made by Western RV out of Yakima WA.

I told him to buy an new Newmar Bay Star gasser, finance the little left and pay it off in three years. Plus the coach is warranteed for 12 month through Newmar. Makes sense to me. But if I told him that it would be a short conversation. Brothers!

I know he wants a DP but for $80,000 you can buy a nice gas with slides and bath and a half that is only a couple years old, gas motorhomes have came a long ways in quality on certain brands, and might not need the $20,000 to fix it up.

For $80k, it is going to be VERY difficult to find a quality coach with a bath and a half. Hopefully he doesn't want a stacked w/d, since that will make it even harder.

That price, he should be looking at 2000-2002 Monacos, HR's and Country Coaches, and 2002-2004 Newmars. Might be better to look for a gasser.

Prices are so rediculously inflated right now, since the economy is " great ". People are asking stupid amounts for coaches.

To have him get an idea of what he can afford, have him browse RV Trader, and RVT. He will see, what he is seeking, will be extremely hard to find now.

We have been looking to buy, and it is just stupid out there. 25-60k over nada, is what we are finding.

Look at PPL Motorhomes to get an idea of what is available for 80K.

If he's looking for a new DP for that price, good luck. He may be looking for a long time.

Sorry I should have been more clear. He's looking at the Newmar and Tiffin books just as an idea of how motorhomes are set up etc. He knows he can't get a new one and would like some recommendations for a used one?

newmar will be more than the 80k he has, at least the ones I have been looking at.
