My dolly has a crank up and down wheel dolly on the front, I can move it around very easily with that. I usually back into my campsite and 90% have enough room that I roll the tow dolly around the back and hook it back up to MH. I have electric brakes that I like as I can control the amount of braking on the tow dolly. I watched on Craigslist for about a month and found one there that needed new tires and one wheel bearing replaced, needed new tie down straps, ordered them from Master Tow and ready to go. I also have a Jeep that I tow 4 down, the cost for a baseplate, tow bar, Aux brake unit, hooking up lights etc is probably the same as buying a tow dolly. I have had no problems towing with either set-up. We take Jeep when off roading adventures are available and our Ford when lots of hard road sightseeing is available. One advantage to a tow dolly that I had not thought about was, my friends car broke down, we hooked up the tow dolly to his truck and went and towed his car home.
