I promise you, that's the wrong mirror for the right side position. If you flip them around, you'll likely see parts of the highway that you've never seen before. :) I work with these things every day and I can spot an incorrect mirror from three states over.
It may be that the mirror heads were deliberately swapped by the coach company, to reduce the width profile of the MH by several inches when the mirrors are at maximum extension.
golfknut, consider yourself lucky that you have the single-arm mirrors. I have the older pickup truck style of mirrors. Even at maximum extension (as shown below), the inside half of each mirror is looking at the house. click picture for larger image:
