Truth is my friend and I had just started talking about it and his cell phone ran. It was his wife saying there was a bear in their garage that had opened the freezer taking out meat and blue berrys. He was gone then and is flying out this morning to look at some work in Nevada. So do not know when I can talk to him to learn more..
However I know him well enough to know he would have no problem welding a plate on the pipe and using screws if needed.. But the main thought was perhaps you can come up with a way to fix it instead of buying.
