What house batteries do you recommend

AGM's can still sulfate. You're referring to corrosion on the battery terminals. Oddly, I don't get any corrosion on mine. To answer the OP's question, get whatever fits your budget and camping requirements.

I've had my new AGM's since Feb. 6th, 2013. No sulfating/corrosion as of yet, they are clean as the day I brought them home.

My old wet cell batteries sulfated on everything but the terminals....especially on the battery trays and on the metal clips holding the straps, etc. The terminals themselves stayed relatively clean as they were covered in a red liquid/gel.

So far I'm love'n the AGM's!
