Most mfgs don't even offer a light color.
They are just following what potential buyers say they want. Oak is out of popularity in designing homes ( I was told this by several home builders we interviewed ) and the darker rich cherry etc look is "in" with white stone / granite countertops at least in higher end homes. Buyers of NEW high end motorhomes are looking for those trends. Evidently they are buying them too ! Lower level RV's are just trying to look high end.
