We had a 2004 Newmar Dutch Star and traveled constantly in it for 8 of our 16 full-timing years. It was awesome. We purposely wanted only two slides and they had to be on the same side. We love public park campgrounds which typically have trees. We didn't want to have to maneuver the slides inbetween trees on both sides.
We didn't want a washer/dryer and having to constantly do little amounts of laundry. We got 2-weeks worth done in 1-1/2 hr at the town laundromat and didn't have to think about it for another two weeks.
We never were inconvenienced by having only one bath.
We could never afford the new prices they ask for the motorhomes nowadays and we would never finance one. We wouldn't want the 1-1/2 baths, laundries, multiple televisions, umpteen slides and dark interiors. If bought again, we'd definitely be buying a used older quality unit and spend some money redecorating, if needed.
It seems like buyers now want everything that's in their homes. This means more complicated building of RVs; more problems and especially much higher prices. Nope. Not for us but we're probably in the minority the way they're being bought.
