Warranty issues can be a problem depending on the manufacturer, the dealer and the season. Some manufacturers insist on the authorized repair facility (usually the dealer) to have the unit on their lot to first make a determination of the problem. Then they'll take that input and make a decision on what repairs will be covered and that may involve some back and forth getting the dealer to dig deeper to see if there aren't other issues or an easier and cheaper solution. Then once they authorize the repairs the parts may need to be shipped and they could be on back-order. Once the parts come in the dealer has to schedule time to get the unit in the shop for the repairs, and they may be backed up due to the time of the year. Many dealers want or need to have the unit on their lot the whole time because it may be partially disassembled and they don't want to do the same work of teardown/buildback multiple times since they only get paid for doing it once.
Some dealers will also play the game of "you didn't buy it here so I can't/won't work on it or it will go to the end of the service line." It's a shame dealers don't realize that the good PR they'd get from timely repairs would go a long way to helping make future sales.
I went thru this with my current RV and after the 3rd time in for warranty work I just said the hell with it and learned to fix and maintain it myself.
