I have never had to wait more than a couple days, only because the fix took longer than expected.
I have patronized two different RV dealerships and both are great! One (closest to home) is Modern Trailer in Anderson, Indiana. The other is Walnut Ridge RV near New Castle, Indiana where we purchased our last trailer from.
Both dealerships / repair shops let you make an appointment. When your appointment time comes around, bring the camper in. They service it, and almost every time, drive back home with it. Only once (Modern Trailer) did they keep it a couple days because a part had to be ordered.
Another time at Modern Trailer, I had a part that was not manufactured any more that needed replaced. They went on a search for the part. They ordered it. When it came in, THEN we set up an appointment time. They installed, I drove it home the same day.
Anything less than this is unacceptable.
Now granted, I may have to wait a couple week to get my time slot. But I'd rather have my camper parked in my driveway waiting, that sitting at their lot subject to ... who knows what?
There's no excuse for anyone to be separated from their camper for weeks at a time!
