Everyones financial condition is different, especially after retirement. You almost have to sit and do those numbers yourself. How you drive, miles you drive, where you drive is going to make a big difference in cost. I can tell you I get 6 mpg, it cost $300 to wash and wax a MH. That an RV park charges $35 to $50 a night. In 5 years it will be worth half what I paid. That even a new MH has constant maintenance. You can cut some cost by doing things yourself if you have the skills required. RVs are expensive. I think class A being on the top of the list for maintenance and TTs being lower on the list. JMHO but I think if I had to watch my budget closely or worry about cost of fuel i.e. maintenance, or depreciation I would be back into a TT. Being a practical person and looking around I see some beautiful MHs. A modified Prevost a few spaces away is probably worth 1.5 mill. Beautiful RV but I don't need an RV like that to enjoy RVing. Want maybe, but not need. I would not try to stretch my funds to the max for any RV.
