What is your cost of maintenance

You don't want to know and I ain't going to figure it up because I don't want to know.
Why didn't I buy that Montana ranch.
I don't think anybody else has been this route though.
Enjoy. Figure 2,000 a year and what's left buy your self a nice shotgun every four years.
Do buy extended warranty.
Buy a set of good hand tools and screwdrivers and cordless drill etc.
You can do most things outside, of power train repair or maybe even that.

1994 Diesel Pusher, 37', no slides, 190HP. Purchased in 2004.

Put 73,000 miles on it. In 112 months of ownership, I've put $23,476 into the rig. That includes all repair items, like a new board for the refer, a blown engine repair, and optional stuff like painting, damage repairs, and consumables like tires, oil, anti-freeze, etc. Also includes insurance and tags. This comes to an average of $202/month. Does not include fuel expense...another $20,501. That's $0.25/mile averaged over 9.34 years.

Well, in my experience I had better luck at buying a used one the first time. Our first coach was a 95 Itasca, 34' bought it in late 1997.
Had very little trouble with it. Nothing that would break the bank for repair. Cost was $47,000. cash.
In 2007 bought a 2006, brand new Winnebago Adventurer 36'. Sticker price was $168,000.
We call it our money pit. We have had many things go bad on it and 5 to 6 hundred dollars or more for almost every repair.
I would never buy another brand new one. If I was to list all the things that have had to be repaired on here, They would have to expand the site.

My depreciation has been about $8000 per year for 12 years. But, it is declining now as we begin its 20th year.

My annual maintenance cost about $300.

Annual mileage about 5,000.

Mpg = 7.3.

Tires, repairs, upgrades, and component replacements not included.

I posted this back in Sept. soon after I sold my MH. Does not directly answer your question, but gives you a "ball park" answer.

I posted this a couple of months ago. Sold my Class A this week. Thought I would give a report on expenses to any newbe thinking of doing as I did. I purchased the MH, a 2005 Holiday Rambler Ambassador 36PRT, 40 mo. ago. It had 14,000 miles on it and was in great condition. I paid $100,000 for it cash.This was below NADA wholesale at the time. In 40 mo. it depreciated $29,000 to $71,000 which is above NADA wholesale. In the 14 mo. I spent $7,000 on fuel, $2,700 on Insurance, $2,500 for tires, $400 for wheel alignment and ride height setting, and I did not keep up with the cost of oil chg, filters, etc. as I did all the work myself. During the 40 mo. the MH was never at a Service Center or Dealer. I did not keep up with campground expenses. This figues out to $2.97 per mile or $1050 per month. I am very pleased as I traveled alot of the country and met alot of people. Just want to make RVer's aware, purchasing a newer MH is not cheap. I am sure many do it cheaper, but they did not have more fun than we did.

Simple answer, one oil change a year at $50, and anything else that needs repair.

For a gasser, the maintenance for the Engine and Chassis should be similar to a heavy duty pickup that is worked pretty hard. The rest should be very similar to the TT that you already have.

Tires are going to hurt a little when it comes time to replace them, especially if they all get replaced at the same time. Gas mileage is actually about the same as pulling a TT. The generator will require oil and filter changes as well.

Maintenance wise, it should not be terribly more than you already put out for your truck / TT combo now.

2006 gas rig (acquired 2011) with an average yearly mileage of 6000 miles.

Reoccurring maintenance cost for the drive train maybe $100-$200, primarily oil changes and other such consumables or wear items. For the house about the same primarily associated with keeping the roof sealed and general water proofing. I do all my own work, so far. One break down 5 miles from home that required a no direct cost tow (ERS provided). Repaired myself in the drive way.

Now I've spent a lot on improvements such as HDTV, new plumbing fixtures, replacing steel hardware with stainless, better shocks, gutters, new vent fans,,. Overall I've spent a whole lot more on camp ground fees and fuel then I do maintaining the coach.

We purchased a 10 yr old gas 36' coach. Had them go over everything and service the generator, do oil change etc. We also put new tires on, had it aligned and in the first year, resealed the roof seams, all the vents,etc. Replaced 2 circuit boards and put a front stabalizer on it. So -- our first year maintenence cost was are $3,500. (We did resealing, circuit board replacement ourselves) but, we have had it 3 1/2 year now and other than oil changes, change filters, lube stuff, tighten screws, we have had no other expenses. DH does most himself and we wash & wash ourselves at least 2X per year.
