The standard answer is to start looking and find a floor-plan that works for you. You'll spend much more time inside, living in the coach than on the road. That said, if you're going to go cross country and spend lots of time on the road and you're planning to tow a vehicle, you may want to consider a diesel unit. They tend to be more on the long-haul design. But, if you're only going to weekend-it and take one or two 300-400 miles trips a year, then a gasoline unit should fit your bill just fine. Gasoline units are typically lesser expensive and cost less to maintain.....especially if you are handy enough to do most of your own routine maintenance. Gasoline units are louder when underway because the engine is between you and your passenger. Newer models are quieter today, but overall the diesels are very quiet since the engine is usually in the rear. There are plus-es and minus-es to both.
You can find lots of options, but you gotta get out there and find one you like first!
