Couple things...
If I had moved over to the other lane there was a very good chance I would have caused an accident and would have been charged with improper lane change.
And that is what you tell the judge.
1st...Not saying you were to following to close but the further back you would of been the better "field of vision" you would of had. And possibly would of been able to see trooper (lights) underneath the truck, which would of gave you lots more time to make lane change.
2nd...Look up and understand exactly the code number you got cited for. In my state, we are supposed to move over, but only if I can move over "safely". If pulling over isn't "safe" don't pull over.
