Tribal Wisdom on gas no longer applies. The ethanol lobby has changed that. At one year fuel with 10% ethanol will have separated and attracted moisture. Maybe no moisture in some parts of Texas, but separation will occur.
In Florida snowbirds used to follow conventional wisdom storing boats with full fuel. I found mine always had problems and began storing the boat with minimal fuel and then using plenty of additives with the first tank. Outboards are more sensitive than V-10's however, and I never had any trouble starting my V-10 after 6 months of storage.
I would expect the major challenge will be the generator, especially if it's a 4k "pos".
