No reason to not use the space. Just preserve that "good" venting/baffling diagram. But do remember, it's likely to want to warm up in warmer weather and turn plenty cool in late fall and winter. If you think of how the fridge compartment is made, the whole rear of the fridge is essentially "outside" or at least like keeping a home fridge out on a shaded porch.
