There is lots of great advice here.
I'm an Oregonian. I live in the Eugene/Springfield area. I very rarely stay at the coast in the summer because it's so crowded.
Find about 4 or 5 places to stay for a couple days each. Take the toad out and see the sites. There is lots to see.
Pacific Shores caters to only class A's. It's very nice.
Sea Perch is a fancy park too. You can't camp much closer to the ocean.
The Mill Casino is just a parking lot. Get a spot now at Sunset Bay State Park.
Safe travels and "Please" pull over on 101 and let the traffic go by.
