In Astoria the Bowpicker is great. AND across the street is the Maritime Museum which is very well done and highly recommended. Then in the parking lot hop aboard the trolley for a wonderful $2 ride and learn about the waterfront from the volunteers that run the trolley. Kid's will love all of this. It's the old fashioned electric trolley and tows a gen for power, so no power lines.
At the east end of the trolley is the Rogue restaurant out on the pier. We are of course Rogue Nation members and they have a number of locations. And on the pier is a free Sardine Museum.
The above is a very unique experience - don't miss it.
Lewis and Clark Golf and RV Park in Astoria is very nice. We took the family out on the basic golf course and had a blast and we're not golfers. Not to expensive. The Lewis and Clark fort is nearby. I've also taken kayak tours at both the fort and Ft Stevens, very enjoyable.
The Newport harbor CG is unique because of it's location. And the Rogue Nation brewery is located there and you can't go wrong with a visit.
