Serious? Having no DEF is a sign of quality? I think it's more a sign of "old". I'm pretty sure the new $1.5m Foretravel requires DEF.
black tank flush is standard on a $13K trailer these days, and heater blankets is a sign of quality? Maybe in 2000 I guess.
Does this mean you'd not want these things?
DEF has proven it causes problems in the whole industry.
Motortrucks of Everett Wa. employs 3 mechanics that do nothing but Emission repairs, they are typical of the trucking industry, and they had 4 newer coaches setting in their lot waiting for sensors of some kind.
I'd say it is the main thing I'd eliminate in my search for a coach.
What you pay for a coach isn't a sign of quality.
although some DPF and DEF coaches have had and will have emission problems its not like they all do some do most do not; tons of people whom want a diesel pusher want a late model or new one;; A coach with such systems certainly would not stop me from buying such;A good example my friend bought a 45 AB new in 2012 and hes never had a peep of trouble after about 40K miles ; to each their own I suppose
