yes I agree gotta love the clean burn systems don't stink at all to speak of no dirty exhaust pipe cant say the same for Aquahot or gen set for sure
Some of the newer coaches are all electric no aqua hot, or propane hot water.
Totally dependent upon the 50 amp cord, or the gen /set.
Don't know if I'd like to take them deep woods camping ?
Tom, I've never heard of a coach without a secondary heating system besides electric. We have electric heated flooring and heat pumps but also the diesel fired furnace that also heats the water tank (which is electric also).
I never wanted propane as it would require a secondary fuel source. Why have propane when you have diesel already?
There is a new requirement called 'Tier four' that our coach manufacturer is incorporating into the new 2018 coaches. I know one item is a smaller generator. We have a 20K generator and now the new ones have 12K Onan. The electric house battery system is super powerful (called 'Volta').
Safe travels,
MM.
Our 2000 Newmar has but 1 heat source when parked. the propane furness, which is as dependable as a brick.
but of course we have the main engine heat when driving but it takes a while to get it hot up front.
Our water heater is propane, it always works as advertised. heats water as fast as you use it. plus the main engine will heat water too as we drive. and it has an electrical heater too which gets power from 3 sources 50 amp, gen/set/ batteries.
Seems to me an all electrical unit is like putting all your eggs in one basket.
But all diesel, ? maybe.
