I think the key element here is that the OP has just purchased his first RV.
FIRST
There is a huge learning curve for RV ownership. I don't recommend going the motor home route for your first exposure to the RV lifestyle. It's just too big a gamble that you're going to be satisfied with the amount of attention that an RV will demand. Well, your attention or your money, to pay someone else to keep up with the myriad list of little things that pop up after each outing. Once you've gotten the big issues straightened out, the little issues will be more easily dealt with.
