When will RV Manufacturers be concerned with quality?

To me, there are two kinds of problems that RVs have 1) the obvious problems that should have been caught by the manufacturers and 2) the latent problems that pop up after you've started using the coach.

I can understand the second kind of problem, but the first really bugs me. Fortunately, the problems I've encountered on my Newmar are overwhelmingly the second kind.
