Some of the newer DP's like Tiffin and Newmar are using the facia's along the length of the coach to hide the roof AC's and other equipment. The facia continues across the back and makes it impossible to add a ladder. Many are buying nice telescoping ladders to access the roof. Mine is the last year Dutch Star that still has a ladder. Even though I would give anything to have one of the new models with the facia, (very luxurious looking) I'm glad mine has a ladder. I'm up there at least 7-8 times a year.
