I mounted our remote thermometer in the front generator bay with velcro to the dash wiring harness. Works fine unless full sun exposure. Previously used to put remote on top of front tire...until one morning when we broke camp.....you can guess what I did...like the current placement much better. Batteries usually last a couple of years.
