- PartyOf_FiveExplorerTwo great sets of suggestions, thanks much!
- rockhillmanorExplorer IIPut it on the Escapees RV Club "classified forum section".
They are a full time RV club, one of the oldest and most respected RV clubs.
You will hit a market there filled with thousands of experienced RV owners. It will sell fast. AND it is a pleasure dealing with only real RV'ers. I sold all my RV stuff on that forum and bagged quite a few good deals on rv gear.
You don't have to join the actual Escapees Club to use their forum classified. Just join the forum for free.
Here's the directions to get to rv market place forum without having to join the club:.......................
1. Go here:
http://www.rvnetwork.com/
2. Upper right hand corner click: create an account
3. After you joined go to Forums.
4. Scroll all the way down the page near the bottom to:
RV MARKET PLACE
5.Post your ad under the forum topics:
RVs, Tows, and Toads for Sale, equipment, etc
This is the ONLY place I will sell my RV's and/or RV gear on.
Good Luck! - punomaticExplorer

Other than Craigslist, where do you guys sell (or buy used) rv accessories?
I thought this forum might have an exchange area, but am otherwise stumped.
Thanks!

Very nice. Paying it forward. - DutchmenSportExplorerI have never sold any of my old, unused camping supplies .... including my DishTV receiver and Tailgater, (Coleman stoves, lanterns, folding chairs, even 1 pound propane cylinders, and much, much more.) I've given every bit of it away while at campgrounds, specifically folks just starting out, or young families. Of course, I've traded my travel trailers at the dealerships. But all the old unused, or not wanted items, all.... give aways! In my opinion, they have served their purpose for me. I've gotten my money's worth out of them. I'm satisfied. Now I just want to get rid of them. And the surprises and the thanks I've received is absolutely priceless!
When purchasing for new items... well ... WallMart, Camping World, RV dealership parts stores, Sears, even Hobby Lobby, or anywhere, Cabela's, Bass Pro shops, even yard sales and second hand thrift stores. We have learned that, except for a few items, pretty much everything used in an RV is the same stuff used in a stick and brick house, including a hatchet and hammer, fire place pokers and tongues (all from Lowe's or Home Depot), Quick Shades from Dicks Sporting Goods.
When we used sleeping bags in our pop-up, we purchased them from Sears. Cast iron cook ware from Dicks Sporting Good (which we gave all that cast iron stuff away when we discovered flat griddle electric cooking .... Presto Flat Griddles ... from the local grocery store.
So you know, there really is nothing that really needs to be purchased for an RV that you have to go to anyplace special or specific ... unless you just enjoy spending more money at a name brand store ... like Cabela's. - gboppExplorerHitch Trader is one option for towing related items.
