where would you go?

we had plans(for a year) to camp with friends July 4 - 14(they have a campground membership) they have decided to change weeks(we found out last night) sooo we need to make new almost last min plans. Looking for ideas and your favorite places within a 700 mile radius of north Florida. thanks for the help
  • In and around Smoky Mountains NP, the higher the elevation the better. Try around Boone Blowing Rock, or Linville. If you are into it, check out the Grandfather Mountain Highland Games. the humidity and temperatures aren't so bad up there.
  • I lived in the mountains of NC gorgeous, you can go to Cherokee which is very close to Gatlinburg, TN an awesome place to explore or a 40 minute drive to Asheville, NC, 2 hours from Myrtle beach im partial too it but alot of people even here in Canada have been
  • I know not on this trip,,, but you have got to visit Canyon Lands National park I Utah Near Moab. I would give anything to have another job there. it was the most beautiful place I ever been to. I am sure you are to far from Branson. but that is another nice place to visit. Nashville is an awesome town I love that place too.
  • Eagel's Nest, New Mexico. It is a beautiful place to stay for the 4th of July, they have a nice lake for boating or fishing and the mountains are beautiful. We will be meeting a group of friends there in June for June and July and maybe even part of August, I hope.

any nice campgrounds to recomend?(with full hook ups)

Well there is Honey Bear in Boone. Raccoone Holler in Glendale Springs. High enough in the mountains, that you can sleep with the windows open, and prolly need a blanket in July.
The NC high country is way cooler than the area around Cherokee, and Maggie Valley.
