I guess effort is determined by the individual and what is perceived as more work or harder. It only takes a half second and is easier to put the transmission into reverse than to disconnect a car, at least for me. And at fueling stations not being able to back up more than around ten feet without disconnecting the car is to me excessive and unnecessary work and effort.
Motorhomes have advantages during travel to be sure, disconnecting a car and then backing into a site is not one of them.
But you still have to unhook the truck at some point with a 5'er.
Will admit not being able to back MH can be a problem, although have only had to do that once in 10k so far
