I live in Vegas as well and calling the dmv or stopping by is not much help. It's very confusing. you need a non commercial class B license if you drive a Motorhome with a gross vehicle weight rating higher than 26000 pounds. Length doesn't matter either though a 40 fter will likely be over that. My 36 ft coaches has a gvwr of 32800 pounds so I needed the non commercial class be. For trailers or fifth wheels, if the gvwr is over 10000 pounds you need a non commercial class a license. The regular dmv have no clue. You need to go to the commercial dmv up by losee and Cheyenne. They have a test course there as well as taking you on a road test. It's the same test as the CDL but will be classified as non commercial. That is the correct process in Nevada but it's been about 3 years since I did it. Let me know if you have any questions.
