Like like I said , I'm not trying to sound like an ahole and rereading my own posts I certainly do ! lol
Thanks for your replies and your insight on this.
I have never bought anything out of state and then brought it home and register it here.
Now as for buying anything I guess you just have to be happy/comfortable with what price you pay for something.
I research, read up (overkill) on anything major I am looking to buy.
On used RVs' all we have access to is pretty much Nada to price them out.
Saying that most dealers I have tried to work on a used MH they take the highest price then pretty much build the MH from a skeleton shell , even tho it states "see" "Special Notes" which states standard equipped with at least 75% of the stuff they are trying to make you think are options.
Just today coming back from a small RV show we pulled off at a used RV place.
They have a 2010 Winnebago Access on a Ford E450 chassis with 6,500 actual miles on it.The lowest entry level M24V MH..
They have the MSRP optioned out at $79,847 guy saying it sold brand new for that.
You know as well as I do it didn't sell for that.
They are asking $54,995 with 6 year old original cracked dry rotted tires, sides are faded inturrier appears ok no noticeable worn damaged etc with 17 hours on the Gen.
I tell the guy about all the last dealers I've dealt with and I'd be paying cash for it and whatever price he tells me I'm going home and do some research on it. He looks at his paper work throws $49,500 OTD at me .
I get his card and said I'll be in touch.
I go home go on NADA and can only get to $39855.
I know there's tax registration and a few more fees. which should be approx $4500. So I come up with $44,355 for a 5 year old out of any warranty. Unless of coarse you want to buy an extended warranty cha ching !
Just looking at it I know it needs chassis battery ,original , both coach batteries NAPA brand small batteries and tires.
Everything completely serviced , oils, filters and all fluids changed out.
Not to mention a complete detail from bumper to bumper.
If everything mentioned was done I don't even know if its worth paying $45K for it OTD..
