When the motorhome is plugged into shore power AND the engine is running, are the house batteries being charged by the engine alternator or by the converter off shore power? I ask because our slide...

We were having trouble with our chassis battery going dead after sitting for just a few days, so Winnebago Factory Service in Forest River switched the slides to the coach side. Now I'm wondering if that was a good idea.
