Why a class A gas over class C?
While casually toy hauler shopping my wife and I checked out some motorized RVs. Diesel is totally out due to Price point of newer units. If we go this direction we need to tow a 16’ flatbed utility...

Your comparing apples and oranges. Compare used class c with used class a and your argument fails.
I have owned a used Class C. Yes, they are much less expensive but my experience searching for a good one is that they don't wear as well as a quality Class A. That is, they show their age much more than the used Tiffin Class A we bought.
