For the price of a new gas Class C we bought a used Class A diesel pusher that looks like new. More room, more storage, a washer and dryer, more fuel (100g), more fresh water (90g), more tow capacity (10,000lbs). Better in every way!
Your comparing apples and oranges. Compare used class c with used class a and your argument fails.
I have owned a used Class C. Yes, they are much less expensive but my experience searching for a good one is that they don't wear as well as a quality Class A. That is, they show their age much more than the used Tiffin Class A we bought.
My point was your comparing new price C to used price A. Class A is nice and if I was full timing I might go that route but for me smaller is better. I have plenty of storage, don't do laundry on the road, 35 gal fuel, I get out every 200 miles and move around, 55 gal fresh water lasts for days, I don't own anything that weighs 10,000 lbs to tow. Got an 08 with 21,000 miles, like new and fits what I do. Bottom line is we all have different wants and needs so your statement "better in every way" is a judgement call.
