The class A overhead bunk option is pretty much why we went with a C. Our kids are too big for tradition bunks (14,17,& 21). We looked at maybe 10 different new class A's with the overhead bunk option and they all pretty much seem pretty flimsy, are powered (fear of failure while on the road), and most had real flimsy containment. As in the three front sides didn't have much to keep the kid in there, a couple only had some cargo netting. That alone steered us to a C, so maybe a consideration for the OP. As far as the future goes and it's mostly just me and the wife, most likely an A is in our future. I'd love a DP when it's retirement time. Hopefully we can make that happen.
