Why do we carry a spare tire around?
In case of a flat or blown tire.:C
Most of us can't change a tire on an RV but we all have ERS and they need to have a tire to replace the one that is flat.
I would not put any vehicle I own in drive without a spare tire on board. Safety Insurance.
1. Not all emergency road service tow trucks have shops that carry tires. And no if you don't have a spare on board they will not drive to a tire shop to get you one either.
2. I certainly would not want to be stranded alone or with my family on the side of a rural road because I didn't have a spare on board.
3. There are several different types of bumper mounted spare tire holders and ones that slide into your hitch that allow you to carry a spare on an RV.
This is the one I use. Which allows me to also use it for carrying my ex-pens, lawn chair and or bikes.
