I am absolutely horrible with tires. Once owned a tire for 4 hours before it was replaced. Hit a culvert and ripped the side open. Normally they are flattened before the tread is half worn down. Sadly, the guys at Discount tire know me on a first name basis.
I took our brand new TT to Discount Tire within 30 days of purchase and got the road hazard insurance on the tires for something like $13 a tire. Considering my history, its well worth it.
