Why does a DP cost more to maintain than a Gasser?

I've been doing some reading lately and when the argument comes up that a DP is more expensive to maintain than a gasser, I'd just like to get some other opinions on this. I also have my opinion and h...

2010 engines should use it, as I recall...though a 2010 or even a 2011 DP could certainly have a pre-DEF engine.
